A Methodology You Can Trust
Our investment process is designed to take advantage of changing market conditions. We call it our “Core and Satellite Portfolio Methodology.”
Combining art and science to allocate a portfolio, we utilize various strategies with the idea that some strategies will do well in rising markets, while others do well in falling markets.
The concept behind our Core and Satellite approach is to smooth out the volatility in a portfolio.
- We hold a Core position of good quality investments in all market conditions
- Satellite investments orbit the core position and have an objective of performing in falling markets, thus diversifying the portfolio.
Most importantly, our investment philosophy is determined by client objectives. Using The Bucket Plan philosophy, we segment portfolios according to when the funds will be needed—now, soon, or later.
With this in mind, it is important to note that neither asset allocation nor diversification guarantee against market loss or greater or more consistent returns. And past performance does not guarantee future results. But diversification seeks to reduce the volatility of a portfolio by investing in a variety of asset classes, including stocks, bonds, and real estate.
